The Forest Resource Students Association (FORTSA) is a vibrant Student Association of the Faculty which undertakes several academic and non-academic programs. The association has been embarking on environmental education programs and tree planting exercises.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF FORTSA

  • To act as an effective link between the student body and the university administrators
  • To promote intellectual, social, and sporting activities between members and the entire university populace.
  • To maintain the assets of the association.
  • To promote peace, justice and accountability amongst students of the faculty.

Forest Resources Technology student Association (FORTSA) is an association in knust under the collage of agriculture and natural resources. This Association trains student to become future academicians and leaders. The students are allowed to go out for educational trip which serves as extra curricula to their field of study. During the Kumasi Urban Forestry Project which was organized by the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, the President (Clement Kwakye) do mobilize his members to take part of that project to show how happy to restore Kumasi to take it past glory as the Garden City of West Africa. We love our natural resources so we called you all to support as we conserved the resources for posterity.
